Sophie Perry is a Nacogdoches native and will become a member of the Mohr Law Group team in March 2026, where she focuses on family law, estate planning, and mediation matters under the mentorship and supervision of Managing Attorney Taylor Mohr. Sophie is preparing to sit for the February Texas Bar Exam and is committed to building her legal career in the community that raised her.
Sophie earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she developed a strong foundation in legal analysis, research, and client advocacy. During law school, she pursued extensive hands-on training with respected East Texas courts and legal professionals, ensuring her education was grounded in real-world practice and local legal systems.
Her experience includes serving as a Judicial Intern for the 145th District Court in Nacogdoches, where she conducted legal research, observed jury and bench trials, and gained exposure to family law matters, adoptions, and courtroom procedure. She also interned with the Nacogdoches County Attorney’s Office, observing CPS permanency hearings and criminal proceedings, and with Jason Armstrong PLLC in Lufkin, where she assisted with estate planning, probate matters, and business formation documents. Earlier in her career, Sophie gained valuable experience with a Nacogdoches-based law firm supporting litigation preparation and case management.
Sophie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, with a minor in political science, and has earned a Mediation Certificate through The Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution. Her academic and professional background reflects a strong interest in thoughtful, solution-oriented legal work.
Having intentionally returned home to begin her legal career, Sophie is passionate about serving East Texas families with diligence, empathy, and respect. She is proud to be part of a firm that values mentorship, integrity, and community investment, and she is dedicated to growing into a trusted advocate for the families of Nacogdoches and the surrounding areas.
