Before joining the legal profession, Katlyn built her career in professional childcare, a background that continues to shape the way she serves our clients and our firm today. In fact, she and Taylor first met when Katlyn was a daycare teacher to Taylor’s daughter, a role that quickly revealed her exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and deep sense of responsibility. Over the years, she became a trusted household employee for Taylor’s family before ultimately transitioning into her current role as Legal Assistant and Office Manager at Mohr Law Group.
While Katlyn did not begin her career in the legal industry, she brings with her all the qualities that cannot be taught: integrity, loyalty, compassion, and an extraordinary internal drive to do things the right way. She is one of the hardest-working people on our team - thoughtful, detail-oriented, and deeply invested in both our clients and the firm’s success. Her background caring for children and families gives her a unique ability to stay calm under pressure, anticipate needs, and approach sensitive situations with empathy and care.
In addition to her professional experience, Katlyn has personally navigated a child custody dispute, giving her firsthand insight into the emotional challenges many of our family law clients face. This lived experience allows her to connect with clients on a human level, offering understanding, patience, and support during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
She and her partner are raising two daughters in Flower Mound, and her passion for learning and personal growth continues to drive her forward. Katlyn is actively building her legal knowledge and has aspirations to become a paralegal in the future, an ambition that reflects her commitment to growth, excellence, and long-term service to our clients.
